Lauren Etame Mayer-the mistake!!

punditmates ;beloved bloggers, anyone ....forgive me for cutting short on the topic of "THE SUPER WEEKEND:THE COUNTDOWN TO THE SHOWDOWN".I promise you i'll resume back to it in no time.
I have to mention this....

This is unbecoming on my part.a collosal error in mine eyes,an unprecedented career blunder to one, Arsene Wenger.

Gooners are yet to come to terms with the departure of heavyweights in the like of Paddy Vieira, Dennis the "magician" Bergkamp, Solman, Cashley,Pires and unbelievably Arsene wenger wants also to release Lauren with the same zeal.I wonder how they will feel later after lauren's departure.

I believe i dont share many a common sentiments with die-hard-its-wenger-or-nothing goonerics but people what's wrong with the picture here? Is it the Arsene has a repellent if not petulant ideologies of his players when they clock the famouus "three-O"read:30 yrs.

Lauren turns thirty on friday, having struggled beyond the odds to come back from a life threatening knee injury which ,understandly wenger said ;vervbatim"He(lauren) is a hard boy.His recovery and determination to regain full fitness is incredible" .A few weeks later,He says Lauren is surplus requirement in the arsenal youthful team.

Many claim Arsene is rebuilding but to me He is foolishly exposing his young backline, whose , age average is 22yrs to possibly one experienced force in Mohammed Kolo Toure in unchartered waters and this could proove catastrophic and tragic in the long run.Mr Wenger should know better.

Last season run to the CL final with barcelona wasn't all smooth sailing defensively.A makeshift leftback Matheiu Flamini was forced to play in an unsual left back position ,and did tremendously well, but if you can recal his ,"inexperienced,not-fully fit" subsitute in the 28th minute of the Villareal 2nd leg semi-final teammmate;Gael Clichy made a school boy error in gifting the "yellow submarine" a lifeline ...>>Where we can all recall Jensational heroics in denying Riquelme a place in the history books.

Long, boring ,story short>>Lauren is being sought after by Portsmouth,West Ham,Newcastle,,Bolton and now Spanish league leader Sevilla,Valencia and French champions Lyon for his invaluable signature. Could they all be wrong in signing him?I think not.DEFINITELY NOT!

Will wenger be forced to eat his own actions this time round? I hope not but..

Is this a mistake, bearing in mind there is FA cup, carling cup ,strenous league games,Champions league matches coming up with only Eboue and much inexperienced Justin Hoyte to shoulder this back right line?

Ask Mourinho or Ferguson,They bought Khalid and Vidic when they had Geremi,Ferreira.on-loan glen johnson and Wes Brown ,Silvestre respectively as ready covers in their backline in addition to carvalho, cashley, terry in chelsea and Rio,evra, gary neville,Heinze, phillip bardsley for united>.......

am i wrong? ,be the judge....

I wonder though whether Lauren would have accepted being second fiddle to Eboue (E-Boy)

Not everyone is used to being the No 2 choice - Like Matthew Poom is essentially the Chief Justice on the Arsenal Bench

hey even if he cant ,lets give him the chance of speaking it out first before we throw him out ..

Eboue is by no choice, the first pick in the 1st team.

as for poom, well ,lets just say "no further questions,Your honour".dude is a world knighted chief justice and proud of it!

Fellas, it has to be seen clearly that Wenger(Prof.)is the shrewdest Manager in premierleague.Yes we would argue over the issue of Letting Lauren go but this won't help.An injury to Brazilian left-back Silvinho during the 2000/01 season gave Cashley the opportunity of an extended run in prof's first team and the youngster did not fail.

Pace and timing in the tackle helped Cashley Cole fit seamlessly into the infamous Arsenal back four and his forward runs often added an extra threat down the left.
Cole's form led to the sale of Silvinho in the summer of 2001.

His excellent performances domestically and in the Champions League caught the eye of England manager Sven Goran Eriksson who included Cole in his first England squad in February 2001.At only 20years. He made his first team appearance in former Worthington cup in 1999 at only 18years before being loaned for 3 months at Crystal Palace.

Cashley is arguably the best Left back in the world. The same is Likely to happen to Eboue who so far has shown good signs but needs some extra displine to excel. Hoyte is behind him and he is improving day after day and he is only 22years. By letting Lauren go would be to exploit another Talent in Emirates.Back the manager guys he is human and he can as well male a mistake too and hopefully this is not one...

It depends on how far either manager is seeing.
Wenger is thinking long term and is therfore looking for someone to stay while Redknapp is thinking of consolidating his chances for playing in Europe next season (a shorter term perspective).

I think Lauren is doing the right thing, he has no chance fighting for a place against Eboue or Hoyte on the longer term. Pompey is a place where he can play consistently with less stress.
